The Doctors in Secondary Schools (DISS) initiative is funded by the Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) and implemented by Victoria's six Primary Health Networks (PHNs). North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) is the lead PHN for the State.

The DiSS Program provides equitable, accessible and professional primary care services to young people in Victorian Government secondary schools, ensuring their experience is positive and underpinned by integrated and person-centred care delivery.

The general practice must demonstrate a commitment to working with the school on an ongoing basis and nominate a general practitioner or eligible registrar to provide services from the satellite clinic (within the school) for a period of four hours once per week, on a day negotiated between the school and general practice. A registered nurse (division one) is also supported to spend a full day (7.6 hours) at the school.

Tenders close at 5pm AEST on 10 October 2019 and submissions must be fully received by this time. NWMPHN is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit NWMPHN staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal or emailed proposals will not be accepted.
