Tender Description

The Camden Show is the largest annual community event in the South West Sydney region and one of the largest agricultural shows in NSW, attracting over 44,000 people to the 2-day event this year.
Camden Show Society is inviting expressions of interest from local community, school and sporting groups to staff the entry gates at the 2020 Camden Show, Friday 27 & Saturday 28 March 2020.


The Camden Show Society - Entry Gate Staffing Information Pack is available on request from the Show Secretary by emailing office@camdenshow.com


All interested groups are advised to review this document before completing the application.


Groups that are interested can apply by answering the following compulsory questions and emailing the answers to office@camdenshow.com


1. Please provide a brief outline of your group and involvement in the local community.
2. Name and contact details for your group's nominated coordinator (including email and phone number). This person will be the primary point of contact between your group and Camden Show Society, should your application be successful. You may also nominate joint coordinators.
3. Having fully staffed gates as per the roster is vitally important in ensuring that entry gates continue to operate safely and efficiently throughout the Show. How will your group ensure that you have enough people to cover the roster requirements and a backup contingency?
4. Has your group had previous involvement with Camden Show? If so, please outline the area(s) involved.
5. Please nominate in order of preference the gate(s) your group would like to operate. Gates available include Cawdor Road, Exeter Street and Mitchell Street - your group may nominate to operate any one gate up to all three gates.
Working at the entry gates involves cash handling, EFTPOS operation, and use of commercial POS / ticketing apps.


Volunteers must be aged 16yrs or over and be capable and comfortable with using this technology and the handling of cash.


Applications are open from 25 September to 5pm, 18 October 2019. Camden Show Society will review all applications received before the above deadline.


All groups will be notified by 23rd October of the status of their application, with shortlisted groups provided with further details on gate staffing requirements and next steps at that time.


A final decision will be made by 5pm, 12 November 2019, with all shortlisted groups notified accordingly.
