Tender Description

Chevron Australia is seeking expressions of interest from service providers able to provide subsea and pipeline inspection and survey works in support of Chevron ABU assets.

Contractor shall provide a comprehensive inspection campaign of the subsea structures and pipelines in the Gorgon, Jansz–Io, and Wheatstone fields, scheduled for 2027.

• Total pipeline and umbilical length: 1,448 km (including 8 third-party crossings, 3.2 km).

• Assets covered: infield/export pipelines, umbilicals, subsea trees, manifolds, jumpers, stabilization/protection features.

Scope of work includes (but not limited to):

Methodologies

General Visual Inspection (GVI): ROV/AUV-based, high-definition video for anomaly detection.

Cathodic Protection (CP): Contact and field gradient measurements for corrosion protection assessment.

Freespan & Embedment Measurement: Multi-beam echo sounder for pipeline positioning and fatigue analysis.

Bathymetry & Inclination: asset-specific survey techniques.

Management Systems

• Data delivered via Azure.

• Asset performance managed in Integrity Elementz.

• Geospatial data managed in Esri ArcGIS SSIM.

Scope Requirements

In Scope: All Gorgon, Jansz, Wheatstone, Julimar and Brunello infield/export pipelines, crossings, umbilicals (min depth -25m); structure inspection (trees, manifolds, jumpers, spools, PTSs, PLETs, CDUs, SUTAs); CP measurement; inclination at Wheatstone PLETs.

Out of Scope: Wheatstone platform SGS, risers, SSIVs, DC2 assets; Jansz Io Compression assets; Gorgon Stage 3-5 assets; DomGas pipeline/riser; pipelines < -25m; flying leads (except Julimar/Brunello); subsea batteries; freespan analysis.

Asset Details

Gorgon Infield: 16 lines, 132 km, water depth 130–250m, 18 crossings; detailed survey limits, OD, freespan, structure height, crossing data.

Gorgon Export: 5 lines, 259 km, water depth 25–130m, 23 crossings; detailed survey limits, OD, freespan, structure height, crossing data.

Jansz Infield: 12 lines, 65 km, water depth 1,307–1,350m, 15 crossings; survey limits, OD, freespan, structure height, crossing data.

Jansz Export: 4 lines, 522 km, water depth 25–1,344m, 25 crossings; survey limits, OD, freespan, structure height, crossing data.

Wheatstone Infield North & South (includes Julimar & Brunello ): 17 lines, 131 km, water depth 130–250m, 18 crossings; utility, production, MEG, umbilical pipelines.

Survey & Inspection Requirements

• Detailed tables for each asset: kilometre points (KP), outside diameters (OD), freespan limits, structure heights, crossing details.

• Inspection durations: Structure inspection ≤21 days (18 routine + 3 anomaly re-inspection); Gorgon: 6.25 days, Jansz: 3.74 days; assetspecific durations for trees, jumpers, manifolds, spools, PTS, PLET, PSP, BKI, CDU.

Deliverables

• Bathymetry (XYZ, SSDM), infrastructure (SSIM), images/video (timestamped), CP/field gradient data, QA/QC summary, MDDR, ISO 8601 timestamp (UTC/AWST).

• Data formats: Excel/CSV preferred, SQLite for integrity; QA/QC mandatory; non-compliance may require rework.

Contractor Proposal Requirements

• Procedures for vessel ops, calibration, data collection/processing, QA/QC.

• Technical methodology (equipment, sensors), project management, schedule, personnel/experience, data processing/reporting, compliance (IMCA, DNV, MSRE).

Safety & Compliance

• Strict offshore safety, no subsea human risk, safety/environmental plan required (hazards, hydrocarbon spill prevention).
