In support of SIGISSP, AVI, in consultation with Solomon Islands National University (SINU) School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, Ministry of Health and Medical Services Solomon Islands, and the National Referral Hospital Medical Training Committee, is exploring the delivery of a Graduate Diploma of Rural Generalist Medicine through the SINU School of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences.

We are seeking a consultant or team of consultants to develop a report that explores the resources required to develop, establish and run a Graduate Diploma in Rural Generalist Medicine at SINU, including governance, management and assessment. In particular, it will:
• Identify and estimate the various costs associated with developing, establishing and running the course. This should include but not be limited to IT, administrative and logistical infrastructure considerations.
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for SINU to deliver the course, with potential risks for the University, the students and other stakeholders affiliated with the program (MHMS/AVI/DFAT etc.), as well as means to mitigate these outlined.
• Identify human and other resources which will be required to design and deliver the GDRGM
• Define the role and responsibilities of an administrative course coordinator
• Define the role and responsibilities of a clinical educator
• Outline accreditation pathways for the course through regional universities (with awarding of Recognition of Prior Learning)
