DetailsMajor Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) is delivering one of the most ambitious and complex infrastructure programs in the State’s history. The 3D Modelling and Data Visualisation Services (Services) is critical to support the MTIA Projects during design review, statutory approvals, and stakeholder engagement and consultation functions.

The MTIA is responsible for the development, design and delivery of the 119 projects, including:

•  the Metro Tunnel, a second underground railway for Melbourne;
•  the Level Crossing Removal program tasked with the elimination of 75 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne;
•  the Regional Rail Revival program which will upgrade every regional passenger train line in Victoria;
•  the West Gate Tunnel, a second major road connection from the Western suburbs of Melbourne providing a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge;
•  Victoria’s biggest road tunnel and project, the North East Link;
•  major upgrades to some of our busiest freeways and priority roads in Melbourne’s outer West, North and South-Eastern suburbs;
•  connecting Melbourne Airport to all metropolitan and regional rail lines; and
•  new electrified lines in the west and faster, high-capacity rail for our regional cities.

At different stages of the project lifecycle (e.g. design, statutory planning, community consultation, delivery, etc.) the project team will require a range of 3D drawings and animated models. These models will support both technical and stakeholder engagement functions at different project stages.

The ODG is seeking to gain an understanding of the market to determine potential to release an open Request for Proposal (RFP) for the provision of the Services. Prior to releasing any RFP, the ODG is seeking to understand the market capability and solutions.
