Expressions of interest are invited from experienced roading construction contractors who currently hold a NZ Transport Agency Prequalified to Level 4C. The work is for the construction of a new sealed access road and boat trailer carpark at an Existing boat ramp facility off Kerikeri Inlet Road, located approximately 8.0km from Kerikeri township. The works includes importing fill, rock armoring, drainage, access and carpark construction and 300m of road widening on Kerikeri Inlet Road.

The access and carpark will be constructed within an area of road reserve and requires a causeway to be constructed within the Coastal Marine area. The access starts from Kerikeri Inlet Road and ends at the existing Windsor Inlet Boat Ramp and Jetty facility.
Several archaeological sites have been identified in close proximity to the area of work. The contractor is therefore required to be very familiar with the requirements of the Historic Places Act 1993, when working within and near these sites of historical interest.
