The purpose of this RFI is to invite interested suppliers to provide information that will support Breast Screen Central, a department within the Hutt Valley District Health Board (HVDHB), to identify the range of Mobile Breast Screening Unit solutions, and potential suppliers that can meet or exceed our requirements. Breast Screen Central (BSC) provides mammography screening services for Wellington, Hutt Valley, Wairarapa, Porirua and the Kāpiti Coast, screening around 30,000 women a year across 4 fixed sites and via a Mobile Breast Screening Unit (MBSU). These districts constitute three main District Health Boards and make up the wider Wellington region.

We are seeking submissions from suppliers who can provide us with solutions for:

1. Our Mobile Breast Screening Unit (MBSU) vehicle;
2. MBSU Vehicle Fitout Options; and
3. Potentially related Mammography Equipment.

Our Vehicle Requirements, Functional Requirements, Indicative Mammography Equipment Requirements, Technical, Electrical and Mechanical Requirements are specified in more detail within the RFI documentation.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. At this stage, HVDHB is only seeking information from the market to see what solutions can be provided, including indicative costs. Following the review of the responses to this RFI, HVDHB will, at its sole discretion, decide whether or not to re-engage the market by issuing a open-competitive tender process.

Questions are encouraged and you may request that they are kept confidential providing that they are commercially sensitive.

HVDHB reserves the right to provide supplementary information to all tenderers should a confidential question highlight a point requiring clarification to other tenderers.
