Rupanyup Major Events (RME) was founded in 1995 by a next generation farming community as an opportunity to raise funds to support local projects whilst engaging in social events that encourage connectivity and support within the agricultural community of Western Victoria.

The Rupanyup Barley Banquet is a significant annual community and charity event organised by Rupanyup Major Events.
It is a major fundraiser for the local Rupanyup community as well as an important and unique social outing that promotes agriculture and rural Victoria.

From its conception by a group of young farmers in 1995 to date, Rupanyup Major Events Barley Banquet has raised in excess of $250,000 for local projects and community services.

The current caterers for the Barley Banquet have decided after 17 years that 2019 was their last year and we are looking to refill this opportunity. The successful contract will be for the provision of quality catering services to the Barley banquet onsite for guest meals.
Rupanyup Major Events is seeking expressions of interest to fill this position for the upcoming Barley Banquet October 17, 2020 and ongoing.

The preferred contractor will:

1.  Have a good understanding of modern cuisine dining preferences suitable to a marquee environment, reflected through the menu choices, and professional delivery of service for up to 400 patrons;
2.  Work in collaboration with RME to develop an appropriate menu using fresh local produce.

RME invites interested parties to submit a proposal that includes the following:

1.  Details of previous catering experience, including venue/s, location/s and time frames.
2.  A full menu example of what you would offer at Barley Banquet, including a reasonable selection of budget priced items.
3.  Referee details if applicable.
4.  Any further documentation to support your application, including photos and referees.

RME is willing to negotiate contract terms and discuss new concepts with the caterer.
