Services to assess the potential economic, greenhouse gas and other benefits of the South Australian organics processing sector and output products is required to support understanding of the sector’s current contribution and capacity to support further transition to a circular economy.

Expertise is sought to undertake detailed modelling and analysis across the material cycle and provide a report quantifying the employment and industry development impacts and other identified benefits.

The scope of work will include:

1. Assessing the current position of the sector by analysing and quantifying the material and value flows of organics recovery and processing sector.
2. Quantifying potential future opportunities to increase the capacity and outputs (for example, as new products or application to land) and overall value proposition for the organics recovery and processing sectors and projected benefits from implementation.

It is anticipated the tasks involved in supplying the specified services will require integrating various existing specialty services such as carbon accounting, economic analysis, agricultural and soil research and state resource recovery knowledge.

Responses involving collaborations between different service providers with particular areas of expertise are encouraged.
