NGH Pty Ltd (NGH) has been engaged by Greater Newcastle Aerotropolis Pty Ltd (GNAPL) (Level 1 (east) Terminal Building, Williamtown Drive, Williamtown NSW 2318 ) to undertake an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment (ACHA) to inform a development application for a proposed industrial area associate with New Castle Airport, comprising pat Lot 11 DP1036501 in an area known as "AHIP West".

An Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit (AHIP) has previously been issued for works within the remainder of Lot 11 DP1036501 (east of the current project area). The proposal is subject to assessment under Parts 3 and 4 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP& A Act). The purpose of this consultation is to provide an opportunity for Aboriginal community stakeholders to:

• assist in the preparation of the ACHA
• be involved in consultation regarding Aboriginal cultural heritage
• and be involved in the assessment of site and management of potential impacts to those sites which may result from the proposal.

In order to fulfill requirements set out in the Aboriginal cultural heritage consultation requirements for proponents 2010, NGH is seeking interested Aboriginal parties who hold cultural knowledge regarding Aboriginal objects or places within the study area.
