Hume City Council invites tenders for the Public Realm Upgrade Works at Civic Way, Broadmeadows.

Tenderers must submit tenders in the manner required by this Request for Tenders ensuring evidence is provided in response to the evaluation criteria.

Project Brief:

The project involves the successful contractor to undertake road and pedestrian area civil works as detailed in the Tender Issue plans. Civic Way is an internal access road within Hume Central, adjacent to Hume City Council’s Broadmeadows Office and Hume Global Learning Centre Broadmeadows. The road will be closed to through traffic and the area upgraded with hard and soft pavement materials, consistent with the area immediately to the north of the site that meets with Tanderrum Way.

Traffic and Pedestrian Management:

Traffic and Pedestrian Management for the project is to be well planned and staged to allow the operation of the carpark on the corner of Pascoe Vale Road and Dimboola Road as much as possible. In addition, provision is to be made for deliveries to the Global Learning Centre and waste collections.

Pedestrian movements in the area are high and suitable measures are to be put in place to manage any closures or detours during works and importantly after work care.
