What we need
Carterton District Council is upgrading its Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to meet the conditions of a new resource consent. The council is inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors for the installation of new pipework and pumps to supply the new reservoirs and include the pipeline and outfall structure to the Mangatarere Stream. Specialist industry skills are expected for wastewater reticulation and drain laying and butt fusion skills. All pipework will be hydrostatically tested and as builts produced on CAD. We are looking for a successful supplier to be responsible for on-site contract management, Health, and Safety, Traffic Management, and all insurances. NZS3910:2013 Conditions of contract for building and civil engineering construction will apply.

A bit about us
For decades, nearly all of the Carterton District wastewater has been discharged from its treatment plant into Mangatarere Stream, the Carterton long-term plan is to progressively reduce the amount discharged to stream and increase the proportion discharged to land. This project will directly protect and improve the water quality in the Mangatarere Stream.
