Community Living Association (CLA) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced vendors for a Content Management System suitable for publishing to the public facing website http://www.mycla.org.au/. This will include website re-design and development, graphic design, content management, hosting, related training for our in-house IT team for maintenance purposes, search engine optimisation, other recommended innovations and ongoing support.

Interested parties should have relevant experience and knowledge in delivering successful website solutions in line with project requirements, in competitive environments, preferably in the disabilities sector.

So that CLA can provide the best service possible to its participants current and prospective it is mandatory that the vendor will provide a product to be fully compliant in ensuring accessibility of our website for people with disabilities. Web content produced by our organisation will conform to Level AA of the WCAG 2.1 standards. These standards ensure that information is perceivable by people with sensory processing difficulties; operable to support multiple navigation methods and augmentative and alternative communication devices; and understandable to all people accessing the information.

Our aim is to provide Easy Read resources to supplement information communicated to the people we support. This supports people with cognitive or learning disabilities and linguistically diverse people to access and understand the information being communicated. Information will be presented with a large sans-serif font and few design elements to avoid distraction. Pictures or pictograms will be used to illustrate the content of the information being communicated.

It is expected that one single vendor will be responsible for managing the delivery of the whole project, whether on their own or by utilising and managing subcontractors. Pricing is to be a one-off build price and training, plus an ongoing fee for hosting and hourly rate for ongoing support if required. We are looking forward to a total project delivery completion date of no greater than 3 months.
