Islamic College of Melbourne is seeking expressions of interest from experienced catering operators to manage and operate the College Canteen under a Canteen Licence Agreement.

The College Canteen will operate within the newly constructed library and canteen building due for completion late 2020

Canteen License Agreement commencement date 1st February 2021

College Canteen kitchen and servery equipment fit out is offered through the Canteen License Agreement either partially completed or completed subject to EOI responses

The successful Canteen operator will provide menus including varied nutritional and healthy balanced options that are attractive to students and staff. Food sold at the Canteen is to reflect the Department of Education and Training Healthy Canteen Kit-Food Planner and Islamic College of Melbourne requirements. The provision of lunches, snacks, and beverages to the students and staff at the College along with opportunities to cater for College events are on offer within the EOI.

The Islamic College of Melbourne was founded in 2011 and is a private co-educational college for years 1 to 12. Presently there are 134 caring staff and 1,318 students enrolled at the school with 930 of those students being foundation to year 5 school students. These numbers are expected to grow in 2021 representing a significant catering opportunity to EOI respondents.
