Elite Constructions NSW [57 Knox St, Belmore NSW 2192] is proposing a two stage residential subdivision of the property described as Lot 22 DP1070182 and Lots 497 & 498 DP227298 at Ti-Tree Road, Sandy Beach, NSW. These lands were previously assessed by MDCA under a Code of Practice Excavation in 2017.
The proponent has reconfigured the development footprint and further consultation with the Aboriginal community is required. Registrations of interest are sought from Aboriginal people with cultural knowledge relevant to determining the management of known Aboriginal artefacts at this location.
This will allow an update of the community views on the previously proposed management of those artefacts. It is noted that archaeological salvage excavation and collection has been recommended to be conducted under a Heritage NSW Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit [AHIP] and a Care and Control Agreement.
