Tender Description
The Barcoo Shire Council owns three community caravan parks (Jundah, Stonehenge and Windorah) and is looking at options for operating and developing the facilities either individually or collectively that will generate a reasonable financial return yet also provide an enjoyable experience to caravanners (at reasonable rates) and become an attractive recreational facility for the local communities.
In addition to the three Caravan Parks, Council also owns a Roadhouse in the town of Jundah which Council would consider combining with the caravan park operations or alternatively this being undertaken as a separate operation.

Council is seeking the advice and innovative suggestions from the local community and experienced operators on how this could be done. We are interested in developing a business model that will deliver benefits to all stakeholders and will ultimately enter into a business partnership with the right person or organisation.
Should you be interested in helping us through the process, we would appreciate your ideas. Based on the feedback that we get, we will develop a request for proposals which we will publicly advertise and which may take the form of either a formal publicly advertised Expression of Interest under the Local Government Act 2009 or a Request for Tenders.
