ACCIONA invites local suppliers and subcontractors to register their interest in providing goods and services for the Coombabah Sewage Treatment Plant Stage 6 Upgrade.
The Coombabah Sewage Treatment Plant is nearing capacity, with City of Gold Coast recently awarding its Stage 6 upgrade of the facility to ACCIONA, to ensure there is increased capacity of the sewerage network to meet the needs of its rapidly growing city.
The upgrade works includes:
- construction of a new Preliminary Treatment Facility and Odour Control Facility
- installation of new bioreactors, secondary clarifiers and chlorination
- construction of sludge thickening and dewatering facilities
- a service water and potable water reticulation upgrade
- construction of associated ancillary and support facilities
- commissioning and handover activities.
ACCIONA is committed to local industry participation and is seeking to engage with local suppliers and subcontractors wherever possible, to ensure the project leaves a lasting legacy on the Gold Coast.
Procurement opportunities currently exist for the following packages of work:
- minor civil and concrete
- plumbing and mechanical piping
- civil piping and stormwater drainage
- transport and haulage
- groundwater and stormwater collection and treatment
- steelworks and minor mechanical works
- pump and valve supply
- air compressor supply
- fire and security systems
- minor electrical works including testing and tagging
- mechanical fitters and trades
- cranage – mobile and crawler.
- support services, including cleaning, office supplies, catering, and courier services.
