Queensland Mental Health Week Coordination 2021 and beyond
Tender ID: 435379
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Queensland Mental Health Commission is seeking proposals for Invitations to Offer for the following:-
Contractor Services to Co-ordinate Queensland Mental Health Week 2021, and potentially through to 2023.
Summary of opportunity and QMHC objectives
Queensland Mental Health Week (QMHW) is an established fixture on Queensland’s community awareness events calendar. QMHW is held annually in October incorporating World Mental Health Day, with the aim to:
- raise awareness of the importance of mental health and wellbeing
- increase understanding of mental illness and recovery
- reduce stigma and discrimination.
For the past several years, QMHW has been funded by the Queensland Mental Health Commission (the Commission) and managed by sector organisations in a collective ownership approach.
Administration of the accompanying QMHW Community Event Grants Program has historically been managed separately to the administration of the week itself. The Grants Program offers small grants to support local organisations across QLD to host registered QMHW community events and activities.
The Commission is seeking a mental health and/or community sector organisation and/or consortium to deliver QMHW 2021 - the week itself, and administration of the QMHW Community Events grants program. It is intended that the successful tenderer would manage QMHW for three years - one year intially, and two extensions if acceptable - allowing time to develop a sustainable delivery model.
The successful organisation or consortium will need to demonstrate their capacity to deliver all elements of the week, including the grants program. It is anticipated that this will include personnel with relevant communication experience. It is also anticipated that a paid project support role would be available for a person with lived experience with an interest in gaining experience in the area of event coordination.
QMHW communication assets, including the website, social media accounts and e-newsletter subscription list will be available to the successful tenderer.
Further information including evaluation criteria can be found by downloading the Invitation to Offer and associated documents.
