Southern Generation Partnership Limited (SGLP) is working with the Bay of Plenty Regional Council (BOPRC) to reduce upstream flooding by removing excess gravel in the Aniwaniwa Delta.
On behalf of Southern Generation Limited Partnership, we are seeking a professional contracting company that is appropriately qualified and experienced in river gravel extraction and who has a position in the river gravel aggregate market.

The project involves the extraction of approximately 30,000m3 of gravel along a continuous channel through the delta area downstream of Rabbit Bridge over a 10 week period, and the removal (sale) of the whole of that material within 9 months following completion of the contract works.
Expertise with large extraction operations and river remediation projects is desirable as the work requires a high level of river work expertise, along with the ability to engage with key stakeholders and the community.
The successful tenderer must also demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety and public safety.
