The Shire of Trayning is looking to replace its existing DAFF 8 wheeler side tipping trucks with a similar but slightly more powerful unit. The replacement truck will primarily be used for cartage of gravel and other road building materials with the truck’s typical operation involving towing a dolly and tandem trailer arrangement.
The truck needs to have:

• Sufficient power to maximize cartage capacity and licensing arrangements associated with the above mentioned configuration. (Minimum 50 tonne rated)
• Simplicity in operations. (An automatic transmission is preferred with cab operated functions to be provided where possible)
• Durability both in the truck, which will be regularly used carting on the Shires gravel road network and into gravel pits, and in the tipper body arrangement where materials carted often includes oversized rocky material.
• Dimensions and configurations compatible with the Shires other related equipment.

(Ie. The shire’s existing tandem dolly and trailer arrangement)
