Tamworth Regional Airport is a large regional airport servicing the New England North West of NSW. The airport is serviced by QantasLink and Link Airways with multiple daily flights between Tamworth and Sydney and services between Tamworth and Brisbane. The annual passenger throughput numbers are currently approximately 200,000 and increasing. The COVID-19 Pandemic has impacted on passenger throughput.

Tamworth Regional Airport is also a major flight training facility with a large training college on the airport. The complex has been used by the Australian Defence Force and BAE Australia Flight Training. CAE Australia Flight Training utilises the facility to train international commercial airline pilots. The airport is also a preeminent maintenance hub for the QantasLink operations and the general aviation sector. The airport is also home to the Aviskills Training facility which provides training for aircraft maintenance engineers.

Council invites Interested Parties to lodge an Expression of Interest for the Proposed Lease of Hangar 8, 18-20 Shand Circuit Westdale Lot 27 DP 826112 at Tamworth Regional Airport.

The Expression of Interest should include sufficient details to enable Council to fully understand the intended use and business to be conducted in the building.

Expression of Interests shall be submitted on the forms provided by the Principal, Expression of Interest Form Submission Documents, and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope and the envelope marked legibly as follows:

The Expression of Interest shall be:

a) posted to the address of Council so that it is received no later than the Closing Date for Expressions of Interest; or

b) placed in the Expression of Interest Box located at the address of the Council shown in this document not later than the Closing Date; or

c) emailed to trc@tamworth.nsw.gov.au prior to the Closing Date. Submissions must not be emailed directly to a Council Officer, as they will not be considered.

Council will only consider a late Expression of Interest (received after the Closing Date) where the Interested Party is able to verify that the Expression of Interest document was posted or lodged at a Post Office or other recognised delivery agency in sufficient time to enable the document to have been received by Council before the Closing Date in the ordinary course of business.
