Tender Description
Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (SSROC) on behalf of its participating member and other Councils invite quotations from suitably qualified consultants for the Embedding Sustainable Procurement project.
The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to the following:
• Update councils’ procurement and contract templates to include sustainable procurement criteria to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 12 - “Sustainable Consumption and Production” into its purchasing processes and supply chain systems.
• Develop a common framework for regional procurements of recycled materials sourced from Australian feedstock.
• Standardise an approach to sustainable procurement for all SSROC councils, which provides measures for sustainability, circularity and low carbon materials to mitigate or adapt to climate change.
• Provide training resources on priority topics that councils can use on demand.
The desired outcome of this project is that participants in the training feel more confident in applying sustainability at each stage of the procurement process; and have a better understanding of which measurable performance indicators will drive the best outcomes.
