Southern Region Waste Resource Authority (SRWRA) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified provider to deliver an independent opinion of the accounts, annual Consolidated set of financial reports and an Internal Controls Opinion of the Southern Region Waste Resource Authority for each financial year covered by the term of appointment. The audit must meet both statutory requirements and Australian audit standards.
The auditor is required to comply with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1999 and the Local Government (Financial Management) Regulations 1999. The auditor is also to provide SRWRA with an outline of his or her methodology, including the proposed analysis and review of internal controls and the extent to which these controls lead to reliance on the SRWRA administration and financial systems to produce accurate reports.
