$7m in grant funds available for WA NRM projects
State Natural Resource Management (NRM) funding to look after Western Australia's natural resources is now available to community groups. If you or your community group has a project in mind that addresses any of the following issues in the Peel-Harvey Region please contact our office to discuss your grant application and see how PHCC could support your grant application for:
- Sustainable management of land resources (e.g. farm planning that supports regenerative farm management or controlling invasive species)
- Maintaining and enhancing water assets (e.g. fencing waterways or protecting wetlands )
- Protecting and enhancing the marine and coastal environment (dune restoration or migratory bird breeding habitat)
- Conserving and recovering biodiversity (e.g. fencing banksia woodland, protecting black cockatoo habitat or
- Enhancing skills, capability and engagement (e.g. running a skills workshop to increase awareness of local issues or capturing data on your cgoups work; or
- Delivering high quality planning that leads to effective action (e.g. developing a management plan for your area in partnership with other stakeholders)
- The 2022 round of Community Stewardship Grants involves two components: a small grants round and a large grants round.
Small grants:
valued between $1,000 - $35,000 for projects up to 18 months duration
Large/Strategic grants
valued between $35,001 - $450,000 for projects 1 – 3 years in length
