Tender Description

Tooleybuc Sporting Club is situated on the banks of the Murray River within the western Riverina district of NSW, approximately 50km from Swan Hill, Victoria.

Boasting a nine-hole golf course, two bowling greens, 44 gaming machines and refurbished TAB and KENO facilities, the Tooleybuc Sporting Club meets the needs of all. The Club holds strong affiliations with the Golf, Bowls, Cricket, Football and Netball clubs (approximately 500 members collectively), all situated in the township of Tooleybuc. With 1200 financial members the club operates six (6) two-bedroom units with occupancy of 85% year round, and there is a twenty (20) room motel 200m from the entrance to the club.

The club itself includes a 250 seat auditorium, as well as two intimate function rooms each able to accommodate fifty (50) people as well as a supervised children’s playroom. Supported by passionate locals, the regions agricultural sector provides employment for some 3,000 individuals in the immediate area, many of whom are regular casual attendees at the Tooleybuc Sporting Club.

The Board and Management are delighted to offer this tender for a new Contract Caterer to undertake all aspects of the club’s food services. Currently operating 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, dine in or takeaway, the successful applicant will be required to manage the daily food service as well as all functions at the Tooleybuc Sporting Club.

To be considered all applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to provide meals of a high quality and wide variety.
  • Able to meet deadlines and have excellent time management skills.
  • Flexibility and organisation skills.
  • Be fully conversant with FSS and all other relevant legislations relating to food, hygiene and and employment, as well as a COVID plan.
  • Work closely with management to ensure outstanding service delivery.
  • Ability to build good relations with members and guests both through service delivery and by employing well trained staff committed to customer service.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen.
  • Be focused on longevity.
  • Proven function experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to add diversity to menus.
  • Have in place all relevant insurances and certifications.

The Board and management are extremely supportive and are willing to discuss and negotiate attractive terms to secure the right caterer.
