Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) operate as an Accredited Rail Transport Operator (ARTO). Section 117 of the Rail Safety National Law (RSNL) requires that an ARTO must ensure that each rail safety worker who is to carry out rail safety work in relation to railway operations in respect of which the operator is required to be accredited has the competence to carry out that work.
MTM is seeking to establish a small panel of suitably qualified & experienced Registered Training Organisations to deliver specific Rail Safety Training under licence in order to meet the requirements of Section 117 of the RSNL.
We are seeking training providers to deliver some or all of the following units of competency:
- TLIF2080 Safely access the rail corridor
- TLIF2081 Perform lookout duties
- TLIF2082 Perform handsignaller duties
- TLIC205 Access rail track to run track vehicle within defined worksite
- TLIC3045 Operate road/rail vehicle
Interested Organisations will receive a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire to complete the Registration of Interest.
The responses of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire will be assessed to shortlist Suppliers who are most suitable to be invited to the RFP stage.
Expressions of Interest Closes 3 March 2021 with Questionnaires to be submitted by 3pm on 5th March 2021.
