Tender Details
Tender Description
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), part of the Department of Health (the Department), is undergoing a digital transformation to better support and provide our regulatory services, with a focus on reducing the burden on sponsors of medicines and medical devices in Australia.
The TGA is responsible for regulating therapeutic goods including prescription medicines, vaccines, sunscreens, vitamins and minerals, medical devices, blood and blood products.
In October 2020, the Australian Government announced that over three years, it will invest a program to digitise, transform and modernise the TGA’s business systems and infrastructure.
The TGA is currently operating on a number of old systems on a Lotus Notes platform which are reaching end of life. The Transformation Program includes delivering modern contemporary systems to support regulatory service delivery. The TGA is structured across three divisions incorporating 12 branches. Over many years, each branch has largely implemented its own ecosystem of capabilities, processes, systems and data repositories, which do not easily interface.
The TGA are seeking to engage a delivery partner with the capability, capacity and experience in business process and digital transformation, to support a number of key program outcomes.
