About Us:

Southern Cross Housing is an accredited Tier 1 provider under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing: managing a diverse range of housing e.g. Crisis, transitional, social, and affordable housing properties. Our mission is to provide high quality housing, tenancy management, and access to support, for people in South Eastern NSW in need of affordable and stable housing. We operate from our central offices in Nowra, Ulladulla, Batemans Bay, Bega Valley and Cooma managing close to 2500 properties.

SCH is currently seeking contractors for the following trades (but not limited to):

Plumbing, Electrical (Incl. Level 2 works), Air-Conditioning, Carpentry/ Handyman, Fencing, Concrete Works, Water Proofing/Tiling, Painting, Roofing including Roof Plumbing, Pest Control and Inspections, Cleaning and Landscaping, Multi Trades (Insurance and Major Works), Kitchen Installations, Locksmith, Metal Works (i.e. Handrails/Ramps), Security Screens and Doors, Roller Door and Garage Doors, Gas Fitting, Glazing, Disability Modification Works and Arborists.

Essential Requirements:

· Residential Maintenance/Building experience;

· All contractors/staff must supply a National Police Certificate of Clearance;

· Safety and Quality Management Framework in place.

Essential Qualifications and Licencing:

· Relevant Trade licences required;

· Public Liability insurance (minimum value $10 million);

· Workers Compensation Certificate of Currency.

Desirable:

· Experience working in social/affordable housing;

· Ability to provide training/employment opportunities to Southern Cross Community Housing Tenants.
