Tender Description

Hobsons Bay City Council (“Council”) invites tenders for the design, construction and commission of the Cricket Practice Nets at Donald McLean Reserve in Spotswood (“Project”). Council is seeking a contractor to undertake works construct the cricket practice nets and associated works for the purposes of club and community use.

Overview of Scope of Work

The contractor will undertake the following works with reference to the concept plans included with this Request for Tender:

Design development and to achieve endorsement for design plans with the relevant stakeholders
Demolition and removal of existing nets and water tanks including all necessary site clearance
Cut back on soil to achieve approved levels
Construct new cricket net structure to enclose the existing turf wickets in accordance to the concept plan
Construct a 4 wicket synthetic practice cricket net structure utilising a mixture of hard and soft fencing
Synthetic pitch strips to be laid as a different colour from surrounding synthetic surface
Rubber fence backing to be installed at the rear of each net behind the batsmen
Top of net rail to be erected on top of fencing at bowlers run up to stop balls being bowled over the nets
Include provision for 2 x power points for bowling machine use as per indicative location indicated in the concept plan
Suitable drainage to ensure no pooling of water on structure
