Cairns Regional Council is inviting submissions from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for a Caretaker and Dam Safety role at the Copperlode Falls Dam (Lake Morris). The Caretaker must obtain and maintain appropriate Dam Safety Surveillance and management qualifications and experience. The Caretaker will be required to live on site full time and supervise activities relating to dam safety and monitoring, water sampling, cleaning, repairs and maintenance activities to assets and property, grounds maintenance and management of public and visitors.

Mandatory Site Inspection: Tenderers are invited to attend a site inspection at the Copperlode Falls Dam, located at the top of Lake Morris Road. The site inspection will take on Friday 18 June 2021 at 10.00 AM sharp. Please check the road conditions before you travel and allow up to one hour for the drive.

The site inspection will provide Tenderers with the opportunity to inspect the Copperlode Dam and facilities, including the caretaker's residence, and to clarify any uncertainties of the contract with the nominated Representative prior to the Tender Closing Time.

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close five days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

Lodgement of Submissions: Completed responses must be lodged by uploading the submission to Tenderlink, using the response forms within the tender documentation.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.

Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.

Council reserve the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.

Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in the tender specifications.
