Tender Description
An Authorised Visitor is a social worker, psychologist, medical practitioner, occupational therapist or similar professional who is experienced in providing service to people with decision making disabilities.
Authorised Visitors provide an independent report of a customer’s circumstances, needs and wishes. The appointment of an Authorised Visitor occurs to assist NSWTG in carrying out its functions. NSWTG may appoint an Authorised Visitor for a specific purpose, or to provide a general overview of how a customer’s funds can be used according to their wishes.
It also allows NSWTG to identify its responsibilities to a customer in relation to the use of their funds/assets where there is a concern they are at risk of harm and enable a response that contributes to reducing the risk of ongoing neglect, abuse or exploitation.
