Hutt Valley District Health Board Procedure Suite
To increase surgical throughput at Hutt Valley DHB (HVDHB) and reduce pressure on limited existing operating theatre space, a Level 2 area of the hospital is to be repurposed to form a five-room procedure suite. Design and structural engineering for this project has been completed, and this Request for Tender (RFT) seeks a construction contractor to complete the re-fit of this area. The budget that has been approved for this contract is capped at $3.016M, which has been approved by the Ministry of Health.
It is expected that a single main contractor will deliver the works covered in this procurement; however, the associated works are likely to be delivered by other local contractors under subcontract to the head contractor.
The works will include:
• Demolition, including asbestos management
• Structural framing
• Plumbing and electrical fit-out
• HVAC
• Finishing
Questions are encouraged and you may request that they are kept confidential providing that they are commercially sensitive. Hutt Valley DHB reserves the right to provide supplementary information to all invited Respondents should a confidential question highlight a point requiring clarification to other Tenderers.
The estimated commencement date of the contract opportunity is September 2021. Hutt Valley DHB reserves the right to amend this timeframe at any time.
