The Southern Tasmania Waste Management Group (STWMG) supports all twelve southern Tasmanian councils on regional waste management matters.

The STWMG have engaged consultancy firm Urban EP to perform market sounding activities directed towards recycling service providers who may be positioned to offer recycling services (via a Material Recycling Facility) to the southern Tasmanian councils.
This market engagement is to confirm that there is sufficient interest and capacity from recycling companies to respond to a public Request for Tenders, should the councils seek to procure recycling services later this year.
