Tender Description
The purpose of this RFP is to invite interested and qualified Applicants to submit Proposals for the right to provide the Services to IBC, as described in the overview of Services set out and on the terms and subject to the conditions set out in this RFP.
Background
The ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 is scheduled to take place in New Zealand with matches proposed to take place at the following venues: Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Tauranga and Wellington.
Quotes for Services
IBC are looking for quotes in relation to the Services for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022, to be handled by writers on site:
Coverage requirements
- 15-20 x Pre-Tournament write-ups as per IBC’s requirements (approx. 400-500 words each)
- 10-15 x Coverage of all pre-Tournament activities including media conferences and special interviews (approx. 400-500 words each)
- Daily reports, features, special stories and ghost-writing columns on match as well as non-Match days (3-4 per day x approx. 400-600 words each)
- Coverage of all pre and post-Match press conferences (about 400-500 words each); mixed zone activities after both semi-finals and final (300-400 words each)
- 15 x Coverage of other ICC events/CSR activities (Cricket4Good, 100 % Cricket, etc.) before, during and post-Tournament (approx. 400-500 words each)
- Additionally, the Successful Applicant should have the ability to turn around media releases in quick time concerning news or developments around the Tournament, if needed
a) Applicants should note that each pre-Match and post-Match media conference will comprise an interaction with each of the winning and losing teams, while the Mixed Zones are short stand-up interviews of players (four from each team) at the end of a Match.
b) The Successful Applicant will need to send out crisp and neatly edited copies in word format to the ICC’s nominated representatives by e-mail within 15-60 minutes of each activity, depending on the priorities and as discussed with ICC’s Media and Communications team. For example, the match reports would be needed within 15 minutes of culmination of play while features and interviews may be sent 30 to 60 minutes after an activity/interaction. The content will need to be engaging and help drive coverage by media houses covering the events from the venues as well as those covering them remotely.
c) The pre-Tournament media conferences will not take place prior to 25 February. However the dates, times and locations of the pre-Tournament media conferences are to be confirmed once the schedule for team arrivals has been confirmed and will be notified by IBC to the Successful Applicant.
IBC shall:
i. provide Tournament media accreditations for the Successful Applicant’s crew(s), provide details of all editorial requirements during the tournament and relevant contacts;
ii. provide internet connection and working space in the media working areas; and
iii. ensure that the Successful Applicant is provided with working
