Market sounding is underway from 15 to 28 June 2021 to identify local interest and capacity for businesses to locate their Advanced Manufacturing operations into medium to high density urban environments that bring together research, technology, education, training and collaboration opportunities.

Interest is being sought from potential proponents who may be ready in the short to medium-term to seize early development opportunities that capitalise on collaboration with other cutting-edge businesses and researchers to:
• Advance knowledge and innovation through continuous investment in Research and Development (R&D)
• Advance processes through state-of-the-art technology
• Advance business models by offering innovative and niche solutions that enhance value for customers.
Advanced Manufacturing is traditionally located within industrial precincts and relocating into an urban environment such as The Mill at Moreton Bay is a step-change for the industry that requires testing before potentially opening up to a formal Request for Proposal process later in the year.

Industry is invited to consider if part or all of their operations could be accommodated within a new urban innovation hub that will foster collaborative spaces for research and development, design, supply chain and logistics, sales and support services.
All parts of the industry are invited to participate ranging from robotics and medical technologies through to textiles, plastics and the renewable energy sector.
