Court Services Victoria (“CSV”) is Project Principal delivering the state-of the-art regional court for Bendigo. CSV have awarded the design and construct contract to Kane Nicholson Joint Venture, which is a partnership between Kane Construction Pty Ltd and regional builder, A W Nicholson Pty Ltd. CBRE Project Management are the Project Superintendent.

About the Project

The Project consists of the construction of a Landmark 6 storey (including 1 basement level) new law court. The works available for tendering include:

• plastering
• painting
• carpentry
• internal glazing
• carpet & vinyl, tiling
• soft landscaping
• hard landscaping
• and cleaning packages.

Tenderers must have commercial capabilities for large projects.

Project Requirements

We encourage local and/or regional subcontractors to apply, however it is not a prerequisite. In line with Victorian Government project requirements, all tenderers will be required to ensure 10% of their workforce are apprentices, trainees, or engineering cadets. All successful tenderers will be required to implement Local Job First Obligations including providing opportunities and facilitating retainment of existing apprentices/trainees in key fields along with creating new apprentice/trainee positions where possible.

All successful tenderers will be required to comply with Social Procurement Framework & Commitment requirements for the project, this includes maximising work opportunities for disadvantaged Victorians, employment for indigenous workers, employment for those with disclosed disabilities & opportunities for female workers.
