Australian Hualong, a private Australian company, are in the advanced stages of applying for the permits and approvals to mine, process and export magnetite ore from their Tenth Legion Project, near Zeehan in Tasmania.

We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified companies for the following aspects of the project.

1)Construction of the processing plant. All designs and most fixed equipment will be provided for tenderers to excavate, assemble, install and power up. Preference will be given to companies capable of doing all aspects of the project.

2)Open pit mining of two shallow pits, totalling 3.5 million tonnes of ore over four years, with associated waste management.

3) Manning and mobile equipment to operate the processing plant once constructed. In the initial phase, processing will consist of crushing, screening and a dry magnetic process. In a later stage, a wet separation process will be added. Operations will involve stockpile management with suitable earthmoving equipment. Operations are intended to be 24/7 and training of operators in the use of the equipment will be provided at commissioning.
