Port Nelson Limited (PNL) is seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI) from suitably qualified providers to offer building assessment services. PNL wishes to appoint a provider who will be able to assess our buildings both internally and externally to identify building materials/ fabrics and their condition. The intention is for PNL to be able to then take the results of the assessments and enter into our asset management system. This will allow PNL to implement preventative maintenance planning based upon fabric condition and age. As part of the assessments we require providers to be able inspect all our structures for their surface condition, we note however that we do not require inspection of materials and services that are behind a surface.

PNL has approximately 50 structures to inspect, with the smallest at 10m2 to our largest warehouse of 14,000m2. Registrations of Interest are invited from providers to which PNL will select three providers to submit a proposal for. Once the three providers are chosen, information will be shared on the buildings requiring assessments and a tour of our facilities will be offered to enable the providers to view the structures and understand the 24-hour environment that we operate within. We note that the assessments will require inspections at height so all necessary qualifications will be required from providers.

PNL notes that a high degree of planning is required as we are a 24-hour operation and our business units on our precinct need to maintain their daily operations. To this we can envisage that an EOI could consist of ether a singular or joint venture providers.
