Marathon Health are seeking responses from providers for the provision of technology services. Marathon Health are seeking a three (3) year contract plus two one (1) year extensions to refresh its voice and data network, migrate on-prem infrastructure and applications to the cloud, and ongoing level 2 & 3 managed services in support of its digital transformation program, currently underway.
Marathon Health is a not for profit organisation, delivering allied health services across regional NSW and the ACT. There are +/- 320 staff, including over 100 mobile health care professionals. It has sixteen (16) physical offices, as well as remote access capability, providing 24 hour, all year-round access to clinical patient systems and basic enterprise applications such as mail and voice. At any given time, the number of staff working is potentially lower than the total number of staff. The effect of this concurrency will need to be taken into consideration when designing the environment, as it is unlikely that all staff would be connected at the same time.
Marathon Health currently uses a combination of providers for telecommunications, mobile services, infrastructure and network services. The current network environment was built to support existing requirements but has recently experienced issues around reliability and security of data. These risk items will be required to be addressed and rectified through this procurement process.
Marathon Health is proposing to adopt a new green field design and implementation approach for the future state where the end goal is to have a single, simplified, reliable and secure network architecture based on Software Defined WAN (SDWAN) technologies aligned to the requirements detailed in the Marathon Health Cloud strategy, detailed in this document.
Cost efficiencies are required from this new network environment. It is expected that by right sizing equipment, carriage services and standardisation executed through a new contract for services, this is achievable.
