Tender for Light Tower LED Upgrade - Electrical Installation Contractor
Tender ID: 462292
Tender Details
Tender Description
Kardinia Park Stadium is located at 370 Moorabool Street, Geelong, 3220 within the Kardinia Park Precinct. The site is bound by Moorabool Street to the east, with surrounding Crown Land to the north, west and south currently managed by the City of Greater Geelong as Committee of Management. The aim of the project is to upgrade the light towers and infill lighting to LED to improve safety, security, electrical infrastructure, and patron experience at the Kardinia Park Stadium. According to a feasibility study conducted by Integral, there are a total of 498 luminaires currently operating on an older high intensity discharge technology which has experienced power failure effecting events. To help improve lighting quality, mitigate loss of illumination due to power outages, and enhance customer and game experience, existing halide luminaires will be replaced with LED on a new DMX lighting control system instead of incorporating the existing CBUS system.
The lighting scheme currently utilises 4 high mast poles and infill lighting mounted to the underside of the roof. The intent is to re-use the existing mounting locations and to demolish all of the existing sports lights. The new sports lighting scheme will achieve the broadcast requirements for AFL and the preferred Contractors (once selected) will provide optional costs for Cricket and FIFA broadcast lighting levels. This will be confirmed once the preferred Luminaire Supplier is selected.
The overall project procurement is broken into two streams, being:
- Electrical services and installation [this tender].
- Luminaire supply (and lighting design) – the supplier will be engaged on a AS4911 – Design & Supply Contract (amended) and then novated to the Electrical Installation Contractor.
