Expressions of interest are now open for a new Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC* project for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning Victoria (DELWP).

The project focuses on the final four (of 11) priority Ecological Fire Groups (EFGs) identified in the Scientifically-based monitoring project. The successful research team will assess ecosystem metrics across the Foothills Forest, Moist Forest, Forby Forest and Hummock-grass Mallee EFGs.

The outputs of the research will be used to transparently report on the effectiveness of bushfire management on public land and will support evidence-based decision making for bushfire management in Victoria. The research is due to be completed by 30 June 2023.
