The Small Business Energy Saver program is delivered by Sustainability Victoria and complements the Victorian Government’s Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program. On top of incentives offered through the VEU program, this new program will deliver $5 million to the small business sector in Victoria, to make it cheaper to upgrade equipment that is more energy efficient and costs less to run. Bonuses are capped at $2,000 for small businesses with the full time equivalent of 1 to 19 employees. Upgrades include replacing inefficient electric and gas hot water systems, air-conditioners and installing efficient fridges and freezers. The program will run until 30 June 2022.

The Gippsland Climate Change Network (GCCN) have been contracted to provide local and independent advice to Gippsland small businesses and to accelerate the uptake of the program.

Working with the GROW Gippsland team and VEU Accredited Providers, the GCCN will be supporting local tradespeople to undertake the upgrade work for this program.
