Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Port of Melbourne is Australia’s largest maritime hub for containerised and automotive cargo handling an average of over 7000 containers and over 1000 motor vehicles every day, together with other bulk cargo. The Port covers a landmass of over 500 hectares, with 21 kilometres of waterfront and over 30 commercial berths.

As the landlord manager of the port, Port of Melbourne Operations Pty Ltd (PoM) is responsible for the strategic planning, development and management of the port’s operations under a 50-year lease which commenced in 2016.

This Forward Market Notice is to notify, the PoM intention to release a Request for Tender to the market for the construction works comprising demolition of the “knuckle“ and the extension of WDE Berth 4 northwards.

Due to the specialised nature of the works within a live operating port environment, all interested parties will be invited to prequalify to participate in the tender process.
