ABOUT THE CITY OF LAKE MACQUARIE:
Lake Macquarie is the Hunter Region's largest city, accounting for 38% of the Lower Hunter population. With the city's current population fast approaching 205,000 Lake Macquarie is also the third largest regional city in New South Wales by population. Moreover, the city's population is expected to grow by 28,000 by 2036, creating a demand for 13,500 new dwellings and associated infrastructure.
ABOUT THE TENDER: Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for the construction of the Swansea Western Foreshore Project.
This project will deliver a boardwalk (including wayfinding signage and interpretation), car park upgrades and vegetation management onthe western and northern foreshores of Swansea peninsula (Coon Island renamed to Parrita Island.)
Project components include:
* Upgrades to Western Car park (extend and renew pavement, new shared path, reconfigure vehicle control barriers, maintenance gate, bins)
* Approximately 230+ metres of boardwalk of varying widths (predominantly consisting of soldier piles, structural steel , precast concrete headstocks & FRP deck mesh), 2 x bridge crossings, entry areas, walls, steps, ramps and balustrading.
* Revegetation to northern point (VMP works year 1 establishment and turfing/edging)
* Northern point landscaping (turfing/edging/adjustment to existing gravel service road to meet new works)
REGISTRATION: Expression of Interest (EOI) documents may be obtained by registering on the e-tendering portal. A hard copy of the documents may be obtained at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, 126-138 Main Road, Speers Point.
BRIEFING: A Non-Mandatory briefing is to be held 12:00PM AEST Wednesday 15th September 2021, at the site location, carpark located end of Dobinson Drive, Swansea NSW 2282
ENQUIRIES: Expression of Interest enquiries should be directed to Natalie Nissen, the Project Officer via the online forum. Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box, or in a sealed envelope. The envelope is to be endorsed with the Tender number, title, and closing date and can be mailed or placed in the Tender Box located in Councils Administration Building, Ground Floor, 126-138 Main Road, Speers Point by the nominated time and date.
TENDERERS TO NOTE: In the preparation and submission of the Expression of Interest and without limiting the Tenderers obligations, the Tenderer shall submit an EOI which includes all Schedules including the Tenderers Declaration Schedule and any other declaration required completely filled in and signed, together with any other documents, information and details necessary to make the EOI complete. The tenderer shall not submit an EOI without a firm intention to proceed nor engage in any form of collusive practice not directly or indirectly canvass support from an elected member or employee of Council at any time.
CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tender close at 2.00pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time AEST or Australian Eastern Daylight Time AEDT, whichever is applicable in NSW at the time of tender close) on Thursday, 30 September 2021 and submissions must be received in full prior to this time.
The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.
Late submissions are not accepted.
