Overview. Defence and Army are implementing a hub and spoke model for management of data operations in Defence. This role engages with and supports the Spoke organisations within Army. This role requires regular engagement with Spoke organisations to outline ADH services available, assist spoke organisations through the process of obtaining support, and escalate issues requiring rectification. The Spoke Engagement Lead is an internal customer-facing role. Relevant training and development opportunities will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key Tasks:
a. Act as the primary point of contact for Army Spokes seeking support or guidance from the ADH.
b. Solicit data analytics requirements from Army stakeholders.
c. Support ADH leadership in the prioritisation of the ADH product backlog.
d. Provide Level 1 help desk services to ADH spoke members to assist them to make use of the ADH toolset.
e. Advise the ADH Lead on risks, issues, and opportunities affecting ADH plans and objectives.
f. Prepare summary communication materials on support provided by the ADH to spokes.
g. Plan and conduct regular engagements with ADH spokes to support engagement within this virtual community of practice.
h. In collaboration with the ADH team deliver familiarisation training to ADH Spoke members on how to access and use the ADH toolset.
Areas of Expertise:
a. Knowledge of data & analytics concepts and capabilities
b. An understanding of project or capability management practices.
c. People management skills including the ability to lead a small multi-disciplinary team.
d. Articulate business strategies, objectives and KPI’s.
e. An understanding of the current industry standards for effective Help Desk Level 1 support.
f. Knowledge and experience in identifying and analyse system performance issues and user support issues.
