OneFortyOne (NZ) owns 80,000 hectares of forest from which it harvests more than one million cubic metres each year. We are seeking an Expression of Interest (EOI) from experienced, suitably qualified and well-resourced contractors for the provision of both harvesting and roading services in Manuka Island Forest, Marlborough.
Manuka Island is a large forest with 1,902ha of established trees, being 1,709ha of Pinus radiata and 193ha of Douglas fir. Plantings commenced at Manuka Island in 1994 and continued through to 1999. The forest is located 79kms southwest of Blenheim and 88kms from Richmond, Nelson.
The EOI is for approximately 140,000 tonnes per annum of harvest capacity, in both cable and ground based configurations. The harvest will commence between July and September 2022, with a term of up to five years. Only submissions for harvesting and roading works for ALL of the volume will be considered.
