Tender Description
Northern Territory Treasury Corporation (NTTC) requires the services of an internal auditor to complete its internal audit functions for the financial years ended 30 June 2022 through to 30 June 2026. NTTC is the central financing authority for the Northern Territory Government (NTG) and is designated as a government business division reporting to the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF). NTTC undertakes borrowing, lending and investing functions of behalf of the NTG.
Key responsibilities of Internal Audit are:
· develop an annual audit plan and strategy;
· review NTTC’s core functions which include treasury operations, finance and
reporting, risk and compliance;
. review organisational risks, systems, processes and internal controls (IT and
financial) for both NTTC and its management of the Central Holding Authority’s
investment portfolio;
. provide applicable audit/review reports; and
. provide work papers for NTTC’s external auditor.
The objective of the internal audit function is to ensure key areas of compliance are met, best practice frameworks are being applied and provide recommendations for areas of improvement in processes and frameworks where applicable.
