Tender Description
Technical Forest Services (TFS) for and on behalf of the Green Triangle Fire Alliance (GTFA) is inviting responses to a 'Request for Proposal' (RFP) for establishment of an ‘Automated Fire Detection and Notification System’ in the Green Triangle (GT) region of south-western Victoria and south-eastern South Australia.
The system is proposed to assist the region with early detection and notification of ignition points within the landscape of 2 million hectares of the Green Triangle, heavily interlaced with commercial forest resource and infrastructure.
There currently exists a personnel led fire detection network across the region that operates during the fire season. The interest of the GTFA is to initially target coverage of the view-shed gaps within the identified landscape with an ‘Automated’ system, with a goal to later potentially expand this across the entire region.
Potential respondents will need to have experience in fire detection and notification systems, and a strong commitment to local engagement and ongoing system development.
