Tender Description
The District Council of Yankalilla invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of the upgrade of Thomas Street, Yankalilla. The Council will enter into a Contract for the Services with the successful Tenderer.
As part of the 2021/2022 Annual Business Plan the District Council of Yankalilla resolved to undertake the upgrade of Thomas Street, Yankalilla. This project incorporates the following broad scope of works;
- Construction of new road pavement and sealing of Thomas Street
- Construction of new stormwater infrastructure including rain gardens
- Construction of extruded concrete kerbs, concrete footpath and pedestrian crossovers
- Installation of street lighting and associated electrical infrastructure
- Formalisation of on-street carparking
Construction of Thomas Street is to coincide with the extension of the Yankalilla Library located adjacent to Thomas Street. Construction of the Library is estimated to be completed late April 2022, therefore tenderers should consider construction timelines for the road such that Practical Completion for Thomas Street is achieved Late April 2022 to coincide with opening of the library.
