This opportunity in a nutshell

What we need
The objective of the contract works is to install two new DN225 PE100 PN16 SDR11 watermains in a common trench from the proposed new water reservoir site in Dalefield Road to the Lincoln Road Pumping Station, Carterton. A DN100 PVC-U power duct is also proposed in a section of Lincoln Road. Two possible options for this duct are included and the contractor shall price both options with only one option being installed. The works encompass the supply and installation of all materials and the surface reinstatement to facilitate this objective. The documents assume a construction methodology that in most cases utilises standard trenching techniques.

Contractors should note that issues which affect the public, including construction in accordance with the programme, control of dust and noise, reinstatement and public consultation will be closely monitored during construction and will be considered fundamental elements of the Contractor's quality management.

What's important to us
Carterton District Council (CDC) would like the project completed by the 30th of June 2022.
CDC has a long-term vision to improve the wastewater network to provide for future growth in the community and to reduce the excessive levels of stormwater infiltration into the network, which impacts the efficiency of the wastewater treatment plant. The community expects that quality, fit-for-purpose infrastructure, and services that are cost-effective and meet future needs are provided. This is achieved through managing assets, good planning, providing the basis of management, legislative, financial, engineering, and technical practices to ensure that we deliver on the community's expectations at an optimum cost. Therefore the council is looking for the best value for money from suppliers who have the capability, experience, and qualified staff to deliver what is needed.
